Red River Real Estate As of February 1, 2008, Vicki and Richard Swigart are the new owners of Red River Real Estate, a property management and real estate company that has been in operation for the past fifteen years.
The Swigarts moved to Red River from Louisburg, Kansas, where they owned an electrical contracting company. Prior to moving they had visited town a few times to see Vicki’s aunt LaNell Hall who, with husband Keith, operated Red River Real Estate.
“We’re buying a system that is well established and that’s what interested us,” says Vicki, “the property management aspect was a big factor. The real estate selling aspect is a bonus. And we’ve always wanted to live in the mountains.” Keith and LaNell will remain active for the next two years, with Keith as the qualified broker.
Reservations Unlimited
Down the street, Jenny and Jonathan Hawkes are the new owners at Reservations Unlimited, which also specializes in property management and real estate sales. The Red River pair purchased the company from Debbie Hubbard last November.
Copper King Lodge
New owners can be found at Copper King Lodge where Clay and Michelle Robertson will welcome you and at the River’s Edge Lodge, a Best Western on River Street now owned and operated by Courtney and Sydney Henderson.
UltiMed
Speaking of River Street, UltiMed Clinic, located in the Lift House building at the corner of River Street and Pioneer Road, will be open this summer with PA Jackie Parnell on duty to fix you and make you feel better.
The Mountain Shop
The Mountain Shop has moved to a new location across from Brandenburg Park following a February fire which destroyed the popular clothing and souvenir shop. Stop and say “Hi” to owner Krista Brandenburg.
Der Markt
Der Markt, Red River’s grocery store, has added a new dimension this summer by acquiring a package liquor license, complete with beer and wine as well.
