Their latest adventure in entertainment is Doc Thurly Bilkem's Red River Medicine Show, featuring down-home music, dubious comedy and fun for the family. The show will be in The Brass Rail on West Main Street in the Alpine Lodge. Look for posters and ads in the Red River Miner newspaper.
Speaking of the Alpine Lodge, Chubbies Tavern, long one of Red River's favorite watering holes, will be offering live entertainment weekends and holidays with country singer Jim Reger who is back by popular demand after a great summer.
If you're looking for a dance floor and some late night club action, the notorious Motherlode Saloon, located in the historic Simion building on East Main, has one of Northern New Mexico's biggest dance floors. Back again this winter will be Six Below, featuring two step boogie rockin' dance tunes and the vocals of Mandy Buchanan. Go early, stay late and use a designated driver.

Across the street is the Bull O' The Woods, "a friendly old west saloon," where you can be the star on Karaoke Night. The Bull also will have live bands on special occasions.
The Lift House Bar will also have live entertainment on special occasions, including the biggest St. Patrick's Day party in town.
During Mardi Gras (Feb. 22-27) Cajun music will rule with Bayou Petro playing the Grand Balls every night at a different place.
The list of entertainers who usually make a winter stop in Red River includes Bill & Bonnie, Jimmy Stadler & the Colliders, South by Southwest and the Hired Hands.
