For over twenty five years, Red River audiences have been enjoying the music of Michael Martin Murphey, and the Irish cowboy is as popular as ever at the Red River Inn's Mineshaft Theater.
MMM will be making a handful of appearances this year, including several during the Christmas season. The compact venue sells out quickly, so call for showtimes and reservations.
The Zen Cowboy, Chuck Pyle, will also be appearing at the Mineshaft during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Jeff Fagen has become a Red River fixture for the past three years, entertaining crowds with his rollicking piano stylings and soulful vocals. A veteran of the roadhouse wars, he can be seen this winter at Texas Red's Steakhouse and will be appearing at the Lonesome Pine Pub with The Piranhas for some blues band boogie woogie.

For those who have seen them in their many incarnations, Fritz Davis and Pete Wooten have frequently caused audiences to ask the musical question: should those guys be on the loose in public, singing and playing whatever it is they sing and play?
It's a moot point, for the dazzling duo, sometimes known as The Geezer Brothers, half of Bayou Petro, or Doc and Blub Blub, have once again escaped from confinement and will be in making clandestine appearances at The Black Crow Coffee House, The Brass Rail, the Lift House and Chubbies Tavern. Be forewarned: they may show up anywhere.
