If you’re looking for a quiet nature hike with plenty of interesting sights, check out the Goose Creek Trail. This 5.5 mile long trail is located 2.5 miles from town on the Upper Valley Rd (keep right at the Y), right at the entrance to the Aspen Park property. Cross the wood bridge and take the trail to your left. The US Forest Service grades this trail as “Most Difficult,” as it gets more difficult the closer to the lake you get. The photos below are from this afternoon’s hike about 1 mile in before turning around. The hike was leisurely and quite easy because we headed back before reaching the difficult sections of the trail. Below we’re showcasing the “little things” you might notice along the way. Click images to enlarge.
