The name may change because they will be serving more than just pizza, but the restaurant in the 2-story building is clearly visible from Main Street.
Anchovies Pizza, located at the corner of High Street and Jack & Sixes, is under new ownership/management as of September 1.
Created by Trinity and Fe West in 2014, the business has been sold to SLA Partners: Art Mulligan, Linton Judycki and Steve Cherry. Cherry, who owns Shotgun Willie’s and is co-owner with wife Kelley in the Emporium Gift Shop and Li’l Willie’s Ice Cream and Sweet Treats, will manage the pizzeria.
“It’s Trinity’s recipes. He trained us, showing us how to make the (pizza) dough and sauce. We’ve got buffalo wings, breadsticks, house salads, and we’re going to add some hot sandwiches that we bake in the pizza oven.” Steve also added Take & Bake: they make the pizza, you take it and bake it.
There will eventually be a bar added to the existing dining room. “We’re going to add beer and wine soon.”
