Lots Of Ways to Get Around

Surrey ride

For the past three decades one of the most popular ways to see Red River  has been the pedal-powered surreys from Sitzmark Sports.  It’s a great way for your family to sightsee at your own speed – maybe stop for an ice cream cone or cold drink – as you pedal through one of the most colorful towns in Northern New Mexico.

If you’re looking for something a little speedier, check out the Go-Kart Track located next to Der Markt. It provides the opportunity for gearheads to feel like Al and Bobby Unser while getting a taste of speed and competition in the quick go-karts like the ones that have been the training grounds for F1 and Indy Car drivers. After lapping the tight track, chow down on tasty carnival food at the Pit Stop, which is open throughout summer.

Want to get off the beaten track? Jeep tours with Red River Offroad and OHV rentals at Weezie’s Wild Rides, both headquartered on Main Street, offer the chance to see the high country meadows and lakes, as well as the historic cabin ruins and mining sites from Red River City’s early days. Bobcat Adventure Company offers guided UTV tours for those wanting to check out the high country up close and personal.
