Summer Mountain Music

 
Red River will see a summer filled with music of all varieties, description and genres. Be it Country, Blue Grass, Folk, the Blues and some Rock and Roll, keep your ears open for the sounds echoing through the valley.

Syd Masters will be preforming all summer at Bobcat Pass Cowboy Evenings.

Michael Martin Murphey will be in town for 19 dates at the Rocking 3M amphitheater at historic Bitter Creek Guest Ranch.

The River & Brews Music Festival will be June 13 at the Red River Ski Area Gold Hill site and will be headlined by Ms. Claudette King “The Bluz Queen. The daughter of B.B. King, Ms. Claudette has her own brassy style which lead to her being awarded 2011/2012- New Blues Artist of the Year!

Larry Joe Taylor’s 19th Annual “Hot Chili Days, Cool Mountain Nights” Music Festival & Cook-offs is set for August 12-15. The event is focused on songwriter/singers. The food is great, too.

The Red River Community House will host music all summer, including the 3rd Red River Dulcimer Festival August 1 and the 3rd Red River Bluegrass Festival September 10-13. There is no admission charge.

The Red River Folk Festival debuts during Aspencade Arts & Crafts Fair “Steampunk Style” September 25- 27 in Brandenburg Park.
