Smile!
The last thing you need during a vacation to the high country is to have a tooth declare war on your mouth. It does happen though, and it’s good to know that Dr. Dick Brown, DDS, has an office in the Miner’s Building at 612 W. Main. His number is 575-754-2300.
In early June, he is being joined by an associate, Dr. Justin Nylund, DDS, who has been practicing at the Taos Dental Group. Dr. Nylund will be joining Dr. Brown in full-service dentistry in the Red River office.
It’s A New Track Record!
Go Kart City has been a Red River institution for nearly 50 years, providing daredevil drivers of all ages and sexes the opportunity to see what it’s like to be Bobby, Al or “Little” Al.
Owned by the Fisher family for five decades, this summer will find Cary Thompson managing the popular race course on Main Street as well as the Pit Stop Snack Shack.
Cary is no stranger to either business and has handled both places in the past.
He opened in early May and intends to be open every day, weather permitting, throughout the summer and fall.
Cary was 15 years old when he moved to Red River in 1985. Like most Red Riverites, he has worn many hats while living in a mountain resort community.
Last year he helped his parents take over operation of The Dairy Bar, another enduring Red River spot.
Last summer he became the first skin diver to be hired to retrieve an errant fish stocking truck that managed to find its way into the Community Pond during a routine trout stocking.
The water was chilly and murky but Cary and dive partner Scooby got the truck back on dry land.
