For over 50 years, the Red River Ski & Summer Area has made Red River the Ski Town of the Southwest, offering the finest in recreational Alpine skiing experiences for young and old alike. While winter is a great time, the ski area doesn’t shut down in summer.
The RRSA gives visitors a chance to take a scenic ride to the top of the world on the main chairlift – the Triple Platinum – providing a panoramic view of Northern New Mexico that is second to none. It also provides mountain bikers with a way to get to the top, giving them access to the roads and trails that cover the mountain.
The disc golf course has become popular, a growing sport in the US, especially at ski areas. The goal is to get folks up on the mountain for recreation. There is no charge for the course, only the cost of a lift ticket. If you are competitive, then maybe the Drew Judycki Memorial Disc Golf Tournament on September 23-24 is for you!
