The 6th Red River Songwriters’ Festival, set for January 26-28, is a great way to chase the cabin fever from the front door, or the back door, whichever you prefer.
Held at The Lost Love Saloon, located in Texas Reds Restaurant, and the legendary Motherlode located next door on East Main Street, the 2017 bill includes Drew Kennedy, Susan Gibson, Kelley Mickwee, Brandy Zdan, Walt Wilkins, Josh Grider, Mike Addington, as well as special guests Slaid Cleaves, John Fullbright, Jamie Lin Wilson, and Michael Hearne.
There will be informal jams, singles, duos and band shows – music will resound for the weekend. Tickets sales will be limited with an eye to keeping the show up close and personal, so get them soon while they last. They are on sale now online or you can call 1-800-91-LODGE. There are several pricing options: Tickets start at $40 for Thursday, $40 for Friday, $40 for Saturday, and $100 for a three-day pass which grants you entrance to all ticketed shows.
