Red River Main Street has always offered a variety of business and quality shopping. In the recent years creative businesses are starting to pop up all over Main Street. And now the East end of town is starting to have a shopping “vibe” of it’s own.
For example, “Spruce.” Located next to the new Pizza place and across the street from Climates and the new golf cart rentals. In the building that use to be home to Southern Exposure.
“Spruce” is a beautiful gift and home goods store that showcases “local,” “handmade,” and “Fair Trade,” items. All hand picked by the owner, Charlie’s mom, Sabrina.
From Bohemian housewares to handsome pocket-knives and the latest discoveries for kids. The whole shopping experience feels at the same time both “nostalgic” and “fresh.” (The 1950’s ski ladies are museum worthy!)
But what makes our new store undeniably unique, is the mini “succulent” bar that allows the shopper to customize their new plant to the full extent. It resembles “frozen yogurt” bar. All the embellishments look like sprinkles and candy. I think we can all agree that DIY souvenirs are just that much more special.
I went with a friend and her two small children and instead of it being a tense or stressful shopping attempt, it was quite the opposite. From the front porch on, the Spruce is a welcoming, friendly experience that will make you feel good about shopping for yourself or anyone in your life. I’m sure I’ll see you there!
They are now open daily from 11-6pm.
