The Community House always teems with activity in summer and this year is no exception. The will be a huge selection of FREE indoor and outdoor activities to appeal to all age groups and interests. KIDS – The community house offers a wide variety of activities to stimulate and educate young minds, but mostly to provide fun. Activities include:

Boat Building followed by a Boat Race down the river

Nature Hour – teaching through games, books & crafts

Red River Ranger program w/activity booklet & award

Story Time for kids between K-2

Vacation Bible School K-9 – stories, games, crafts, snacks

 
TEENS – CHILL! – For teenagers 13-17 – visitors and residents. Food, video games, music, ping pong …
 

FAMILY FUN – Activities of interest to whole family:

Games on the Lawn – Fun outdoor games on the lawn

Geocaching – Use GPS units to find hidden “treasures.”

Movies in the Mountains – Family movies on the lawn
Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Popcorn available

S’mores & Storytelling – Make s’mores & enjoy a story.
 

SENIORS & WOMEN

Women’s Coffee – Join your friends for coffee and chat.

Internet for Seniors – Learn the internet to stay in touch with your family. Connection and laptops is provided

60 & Over Dessert Time – Desserts and fellowship

 

DANCING – Fun classes to enrich and entertain

Country Dance Lessons – Learn two-step – all levels.

Line Dancing – All ages and levels, teacher will lead

Square & Round Dancing – Variety of festivals held
 

CARD GAMES – Old favorites Forty-Two and Bridge
 

CRAFTS – Learn a new skill or hobby.

Craftsman on the Porch – Craftsmen demo their skill

Scrapbooking – Create a treasure of memories.

Fitness Fun in the Mountains – flexibility, strength training and cardio workout
