ORE CART
These cars ran on rails and were used in the mine tunnels to transport rock and ore. They were brought up the shaft on a hoist platform and then moved about on rails at the surface
From a mining claim in Bobtail Canyon above the Red Bandana Mine. Donated by the Young Family in memory of Jesse Young.
SEPARATOR WHEEL
The wheel was suspended in a large vat containing a water slurry in which the gold amalgam was suspended. As it rotated, a coating of the gold mixture was picked up on the outer surface. There were two layers of heavy canvas covering the wheel and as it turned air was pumped between the layers, causing the external canvas
to balloon outward. The gold amalgam was then scraped off the wheel by a long fixed blade.

IRON FLUME PIPE
This pipe was a portion of the Iron Flume, a section of the Big Ditch which was built in 1867 to transfer water to the gold fields at E-town. The flume rested on wooden trestles and extended for over 2000 ft.
